Maisie, 25, rose to fame over a decade ago as she was cast as one of the lead characters in hit series Game Of Thrones.

Now, she is set to star in the biographical Disney+ miniseries Pistol, which documents the formation of The Sex Pistols.

The star is set to portray Pamela Rooke - also known as Jordan Mooney - who worked alongside the band in the mid 1970s.

Maisie, who had her eyebrows bleached and hair dyed bright blonde for the role, debuted the look on the red carpet on Monday.

She was joined by her co-stars Louis Partridge, who plays Sid Viscious, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster, who plays Malcolm McLaren.

The star posed in a long black dress at the launch of the Danny Boyle directed series, pulling her blonde hair up into a sleek bun.

Maisie completed her look with a dark eyeshadow and liner look, a nude pink lipstick and diamond earrings.

It comes after fans were left shocked by how different Maisie looked in the first trailer for the Sex Pistols series last month.

The six-parter is based on guitarist Steve Jones' 2018 memoir, Lonely Boy: Tales from a Sex Pistol.

Following her appearance in psychological thriller The Owners, Maisie was cast as punk rock icon Jordan aka Pamela Rooke.

Jordan - who passed away last month at 66 years old - was known for her outrageous makeup and Vivienne Westwood-designed outfits.

She became the face of the punk movement in the mid-1970s.

In the Pistol trailer, Maisie sported a gravity-defying blond hairdo along with heavy makeup and bright clothing.

The FX mini series will drop on Hulu on May 31.

While Game of Thrones and Westworld fans alike are most probably excited for its first episode, one punk icon won't be joining in.
