Top Gear’s Freddie Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness’ foul-mouthed row after crashing police cars
TOP Gear hosts Paddy McGuinness and Freddie Flintoff are the best of pals but their friendship was tested to the limit in the car show’s new series.
Paddy erupted after ex-England cricketer Freddie crashed into his motor during a NASCAR-style race in America, eliminating him from the race.
Paddy said: “The race was over for me then. He knocked me out of the way, my car span and I was literally facing the other cars coming towards me.
“He says he didn’t mean it and it was ‘accidental’ but he did hit me and he can’t deny that - it’ll be on the telly!
“When I got out of the car the argument was still ongoing.”
Chris added: “All you could hear was Paddy going ‘bleep, bleep, bleep.’”

The new series of the BBC1 show kicks off this Sunday at 8pm and viewers will see the presenting trio driving through Florida in a huge RV motorhome, while taking on a series of challenges.
As well as the NASCAR race in old US police cars, they also tried donk-car racing and a swamp buggy shoot-out, the latter of which Chris doesn’t remember too fondly.
He added: “My eye line was right in the water. So I had swamp water pouring into my mouth for an hour when we were filming and – surprise, surprise – I got a massive dose of the runs that night.”
