DISTRAUGHT and heartbroken by her son's untimely death, Saira Habeeb returned to the cobbles last night.
But Coronation Street viewers were left perplexed by her youthful appearance, claiming actress Kim Vithana is too young for the part.
Toyah Battersby (portrayed by Georgia Taylor) is mourning the loss of her husband Imran Habeeb who died of a heart attack following a horrific car crash.
Another woman close to the solicitor turned up to Weatherfield during last night's instalment of the ITV soap - his mother, Saira.
The character, who resides in Wythenshawe when away from the Street, was last seen in Weatherfield in November, 2016, thus missing out on Imran and Toyah's wedding as well as the battle for Alfie's custody.
While she caught up with her daughter-in-law, trying to convince her to arrange her late son's funeral, viewers were too distracted by her timeless appearance.

However, this prompted them to speculate that Kim Vithana, who plays Saira on-screen, is too young to be portraying Imran's mother.
Many of them took to Twitter to voice their opinion.
"I'm sorry but how old is Imran's mum, she's too young to be his mum", one commented.
Another echoed: "Imran’s mum looks way too young", as a third viewer wrote: "Wow did Imran's mum have him when she was 10."

But many fans were still happy to see Kim back on their screens after almost six years.
"So happy to see you back on the street tonight Kim Vithana. We've missed you and Saira. Hope you're sticking around for a while", one viewer penned.
Anoter joined in: "Saira Habeeb has changed her attitude so much. This is growth. Good for her. Equality and choice will prevail."
Fans will perhaps be surprised to know that actor Charlie De Melo is 21 years younger than Kim Vithana, who celebrated her 53rd birthday on June 4.

As mentioned above, Saira Habeeb made her way to Weatherfield last night in the hopes to make arrangements for Imran's funeral.
Although she wanted him to have a Muslim ceremony, Toyah insisted he was no longer practicing the religion which led to Saira changing her mind.
Toyah has more on her plate as the police continue their investigation around the crash that caused Imran's death.
The authorities are far from convinced the car crash was accidental and first speculated that Abi and Kevin Webster may be responsible.
Toyah was then shown CCTV footage of the crash alongside her solicitor Adam Barlow, clearly showing that she never turned the vehicle away to avoid the worst.
