Emmerdale spoilers: Rhona Goskirk outs her mum Mary as a lesbian in vile scene
MARY Goskirk is finally opening up, three months after setting foot into the ITV Dales.
But when she drops a bombshell on daughter Rhona about her sexuality, the Emmerdale vet retaliates cruelly by outing her.
Outing another person's sexuality can be a personal attack to many members of the LGBTQI+ community, sometimes for safety reasons.
Sadly, Zoe Henry's Rhona Goskirk is seemingly unaware of her behaviour in upcoming scenes of the Yorkshire-based soap.
Next week, her mother Mary Goskirk (portrayed by Louise Jameson) finally comes out of the closet as a lesbian with a little help from businesswoman Kim Tate (Claire King).

It all begins when both women have a conversation which evokes painful emotions for Mary.
But she feels a weight is lifted when she reveals the story of her lost love to Kim, who encourages her to tell Rhona the truth.
Although Mary is nervous, she finally reveals to Rhona that she is a lesbian before telling her that the woman she'd fallen for was her recently-deceased neighbour, Louise.
As Mary gets ready to finally live her truth, Rhona is baffled and begins to question whether her whole family was based on lies.

While the former was adamant on taking care of the chef, her mother recommended that they separate, aware of the stress she was taking on.
To make matters even harder, Marlon's hospital bill heavily compromised finances at Smithy Cottage and Rhona decided to head back to work.
But will Mary's sexuality be an obstacle too high for them to overcome?
