Emmerdale’s Paige Sandhu looks totally different to serial killer Meena in glam dress at British Soap Awards

EMMERDALE’S Paige Sandu looked worlds away from her serial killer character as she dazzled at the British Soap Awards.

The ITV star, who plays murderous Meena Jutla, flashed a beaming smile – a far cry from her dark role on the popular programme.

Paige opted for a plunging aqua-coloured sequin dress complete with feathered trim on the hemline.

The cheeky neckline gave a flash of cleavage while flowing trains of fabric attached to the shoulders oozed red carpet glam.

They flowed on the floor as she posed for images, with her sleek locks flowing over her shoulders.

The actress certainly looked the part for Emmerdale‘s triumph as the soap won big at the London event.

Emmerdale won the big prize taking home Best British Soap after a critically-acclaimed year. 

Meanwhile Paige saw success as she scooped Best Leading Performer.

She beat out competition from her co-star Mark Charnock to take the coveted prize. 

However Mark did take home the Best Dramatic Performance prize for his performance of Marlon’s stroke storyline. 

The soap also took home the Best Family prize for its Dingle clan.

Paige joined the soap in September 2020 as Manpreet Sharma’s estranged sister but has quickly become a soap favourite.

Revealed as a psychopath last year, Meena has gone on to murder three villagers during her reign of terror.

She pushed Leanna Cavanagh over the bridge to her death, she beat Andrea Tate and left her to burn alive in a fire, and then bludgeoned Ben Tucker to death at the HOP.

Last week viewers watched as she tried and failed to kill Dawn Taylor and Billy Fletcher.

She was caught by Liam Cavanagh and he tried to kill her but failed.

In February, The Sun exclusively revealed how Paige would be quitting her soap role.
