DANNY DYER will leave EastEnders in an explosive Christmas storyline – that will put an end to Mick Carter for good.
Talking exclusively to The Sun, Danny has revealed there will be no way back for Queen Vic landlord Mick.
Speaking at the British Soap Awards on Saturday, he said: “It’s huge and it’s going to upset a few people.
“I will miss everyone but I want to go out proper. I came in proper and I want to go out proper.
“I wish I could tell you more. In the next couple of months you’ll learn a bit about what we’re going to do but I can tell you it’s huge.”
He added: “I want to go out in a way that’s going to get people talking.

“It’s a thing that needs to be discussed more openly and I think it’s going to shock a few people.”
Danny went on: “I’ve done ten years, over 1,000 episodes, and it’s time to move on from it.
“I just want the right ending. I don’t want to jump in the back of a cab!”
His exit will be the focus of the big episodes around Christmas and New Year.

Danny said: “It’s Christmas, so we’ll finish filming around October time.
“I’m excited about going out there again. I’m emotional about it, though, it’s a big thing for me. It was a big decision to make.
"But it’s time now. I want to see what’s out there for me. Who knows? Might be f*** all.”
Asked if he could return to the soap in case it doesn’t work out, Danny said no.
Shaking his head he confirmed that Mick will not be able to return to Walford after the full-stop ending.
He has also quit as the host of the BBC’s Saturday night quiz show The Wall after four series.
But Danny has already signed up for new jobs, and will front a Netflix quiz show called Cheat and appear in a four-part drama for Channel 5 filming in Australia.

HERE’S something about a drunk celebrity – they’re more honest and usually a helluva lot funnier.
Chris and Rosie Ramsay learnt this the hard way while recording tonight’s episode of their talk show.
I’m A Celebrity winner Giovanna Fletcher suggests the comedy couple join her and McFLY hubby Tom in a jungle trial involving a bottle of Grappa.
The show descends into chaos after they all take a shot.
Chris laughed: “I’ve had a shot and I’m feeling a bit pi**ed!
“Genuinely, I can’t read the autocue. That shot’s done me!”
Watch the mayhem at 9pm on BBC2.
RALF: MY GRANDPA GRIPES
RALF LITTLE was left gutted not once but twice by revelations about his ancestors during filming of Who Do You Think You Are?
The football fan was elated to learn his great grandad had won an international match for Wales, Chirk v Westminster Rovers in 1894 – until he learnt Albert had then given up the beautiful game for religion.
Ralf said: “I can’t begin to tell you, as an atheist, how upsetting that is to me. Oh man, Albert – what you doing?
“I’m not gonna lie. Right now, I’m kind of heartbroken.”
And there was more to come for the Death in Paradise star, who has a passion for politics.
Ralf was chuffed to hear his 4x great-grandfather John Woollam was one of the very first mayors of Manchester in the 1800s – but was disappointed to then learn he was a Conservative.
The episode airs on BBC1 on June 30.
ALEX IS A SEOUL SINGER
HE was forced to contain his wanderlust to Covid green list Iceland for series one, but now Alexander Armstrong plans to take his Channel 5 travelogue truly global.
For his next trip, the Pointless host will jet to South Korea, the land of Gangnam Style, Squid Game and K-Pop.
Alexander will explore the awesome Gyeongbokgung Palace, cities where robots serve chicken in restaurants and even visit a ‘poo café’ where everything, including the teacups, is toilet inspired.
Alexander said: “Now that we are free to roam beyond the green zone countries of pandemic restrictions I felt it was time to burrow into somewhere truly different.
“South Korea is a country that has leapt to cultural significance in the last ten years and yet we still know so little about it.
“So my first suggestion when Channel 5 kindly asked if I’d like to make another travelogue was Seoul, and don’t spare the horses.”

VIEWERS RAP C4’S PANIC AD
VIEWERS have complained to Ofcom over Channel 4’s fake “emergency news” interruption to its scheduled broadcasting which warned viewers of a “devastating cyber attack”.
The “Prime Ministerial” statement, which aired before Celebrity Gogglebox on Friday night, was a stunt to plug new Simon Pegg GCHQ cyber attack drama, The Undeclared War.
C4 has admitted it was trying to “unnerve” viewers with the “believable” War of the Worlds-style panic transmission, which was broadcast both on TV and as a radio ad.
Like we’d ever face a global threat of that magnitude in real life, eh?

NATALIE CASSIDY has admitted it was “surreal” shooting the Queen’s Jubilee episode of EastEnders with Prince Charles and Camilla.
She said: “ I just feel very honoured that I was a part of it. I think Sonia’s a bit of a fan of the royals anyway, so it worked quite well."
DU WANT SOME?
STRICTLY veteran Anton Du Beke has revealed how he and dance partner Erin Boag had a bit of a bust up with a mystery musician who came on the show to perform.
Speaking on his tour, Anton recalled: “He said: ‘I want to be in the number.
"'I would like to do a bit of dancing with you.’ We were like: ‘We don’t want him in the number as we have no space as it is.’
“Anyway, he turns up on Saturday and he was rude to be honest.
"We said: ‘We understand you would like to be in the number?’ and he said: ‘No. I don’t dance . . . I sing. You dance.’
“We started dancing in rehearsals and he stopped, spoke to someone and we were told: ‘Can you not stand in front of him when you dance?’

“I thought: ‘He is going to have this’ and we stood in front of him facing the other way so he could not see us.
“I picked her up in front of him. The big highlight with the big note and we did a massive lift right in front of him.”
