Emmerdale star Paige Sandhu teases serial killer Meena Jutla’s dramatic return for the explosive 50th anniversary

EMMERDALE star Paige Sandhu has teased her terrifying return as serial killer Meena Jutla.

The actress bowed out as Meena earlier this year when the killer was dragged to prison and sentenced to decades behind bars.

However viewers were given a hint that she was planning her escape when the name of her pet prison guard appeared in her final scene.

And now Paige has teased the potential for Meena’s escape in time for October’s 50th anniversary celebrations.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the British Soap Awards, she said: “I’m not going to say, but I’m going to let the audience think what they want to think but I think it is really interesting that relationship between Meena and the prison guard.

“And if Meena can do it with one prison guard, she can do it with another.

“We’ve seen how manipulative she is.”

And she knows exactly who will be on Meena’s hit list when she gets back.

Paige said: “Who would I like her to kill? That’s really hard because I love all the cast members.

“I think she’d have to go for Dawn and Billy and David and Victoria. And Manpreet. And Liam. All of them.”

But there’s one person Meena won’t be gunning for – Kim Tate.

“I believe that Meena thinks that she’s more dangerous than everyone but she could see that Kim was backing her into a corner and so she backed down,” Paige revealed. T

“hat’s the really interesting thing about Meena – that’s she not always on top, sometimes she is vulnerable. I find that really fun.”

“I always have more fun. But I also want to play characters who are wildly different from each other so we’ll see what comes up.”
