EastEnders Spoilers: Lexi ‘DISTRAUGHT’ as Ben locks himself away after wounds torn open – plus Emmerdale and Corrie news

BEN MITCHELL faces more trauma in upcoming episodes as his wounds are reopened after discovering an item of clothing from the night he was raped.

Weeks have gone by but Ben Mitchell is still dealing with the trauma Lewis Butler left him with.

Next week in EastEnders, his nephew Peter Beale will be getting his own revenge with one cruel gesture.

Ben Mitchell (portrayed by Max Bowden) has tried his best to get on with his life despite the pain he was left with after Lewis Butler (Aidan O'Callaghanraped him.

Coming up, Ben and Jay return home but Kathy, the first resident to find out her son was raped, quickly realises that Ben is still struggling.

He reluctantly agrees to take his daughter Lexi to a Pride fair in the Square, perhaps in the hopes his spirits can be lifted.

But when the pair get ready, Peter decides to drop off a box of lost property and Lexi pulls out the shirt Lewis was wearing when he attacked Ben.

Overwhelmed with panic, Ben locks himself in the bathroom, leaving nine-year-old Lexi utterly distraught.

    Wimbledon is set to start next week.

    On Monday 27 June, the first matches of Wimbledon start on BBC One meaning EastEnders will move to BBC Two for a while.

    The show will still be on its normal days at 7:30pm.

  • Corries' Charlie De Melo reveals new career move after quitting soap

    The actor, 32, has landed a role in a new theatre production just weeks after bowing out of the ITV soap.

    He explained:  “When I first announced to my (utterly bewildered) parents, about 1000 years ago, that I wanted to make a try at being an Actor, my Mum (presumably after the shock and disappointment had worn off) gave me three provisos, if this was the path I wished for myself.

    “Three things she wanted for my life and career.

    “Very pleased to say that, as of today, I've ticked the second off that list.

    “This theatre, with this material, with this combination of people involved. I can't wait to get started. ❤”

    The play in question is The Clothes They Stood Up In at the Nottingham Playhouse

  • Maddy Hill to quit EastEnders in SHOCK announcement

    EASTENDERS fans are in shock at Nancy Carter leaving the Square after actress Maddy Hill quit the soap.

    The personal trainer decided to escape Walford for a new life in Manchester after boyfriend Zack Hudson cheated on her.

    One viewer tweeted: “Well that was a surprise didn't think Nancy was actually leaving again. #EastEnders.”

    A second added: “Is this the last we seen of nancy!! #EastEnders.”

    While a third commented: “#EastEnders So... Nancy was only back for a year and two months? Well that was a pointless return wasn't it? 🙄🙄.”

    The Sun can officially confirm that this is indeed Hill's last appearance on the iconic soap.

    Maddy told The Sun: “It’s been great revisiting Nancy and the Square over the past year but it felt like the right time to move on for now. 

    “I already miss everyone and feel so grateful to work with people I have so much love for.”
