EastEnders spoilers: Ben Mitchell suffers devastating setback after Peter Beale takes cruel revenge with Lewis Butler
WEEKS have gone by but Ben Mitchell is still dealing with the trauma Lewis Butler left him with.
Next week in EastEnders, his nephew Peter Beale will be getting his own revenge with one cruel gesture.
Ben Mitchell (portrayed by Max Bowden) has tried his best to get on with his life despite the pain he was left with after Lewis Butler (Aidan O'Callaghan) raped him.
The drunken evening has remained etched into his mind but he has luckily found support from Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) and his mother, another assault survivor, Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).
But much like anybody trying to cope with traumatic memories, nothing is ever smooth sailing for Ben and a nasty prank by Peter Beale (Dayle Hudson) will only open his wounds again.
Coming up, Ben and Jay return home but Kathy, the first resident to find out her son was raped, quickly realises that Ben is still struggling.

He reluctantly agrees to take his daughter Lexi to a Pride fair in the Square, perhaps in the hopes his spirits can be lifted.
But when the pair get ready, Peter decides to drop off a box of lost property and Lexi pulls out the shirt Lewis was wearing when he attacked Ben.
Overwhelmed with panic, Ben locks himself in the bathroom, leaving nine-year-old Lexi utterly distraught.
Kathy arrives and snaps at her grandson Peter for his nonchalant attitude towards Ben and insists he should take Lexi home.

As Ben is trying to overcome his rape, Peter is dealing with some trauma of his own since he was attacked by his uncle.
BBC One viewers will remember Ben took on the role of vigilante and set out to take down Albert Square homophobes in retaliation to his husband Callum's attack in January, 2022.
Unfortunately, he mistook his nephew Peter for one of these homophobes and brutally attacked him.
