Is BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent married?

Sally Nugent is married and has one son, but their identities are unknown.

She has kept the details of her marriage under wraps, including the name of her partner and their child.

However on her BBC Breakfast page it states her son is "football and rugby mad".

While the presenter posts frequently on Instagram, she avoids sharing photos of her family.

In the past, Sally has posted pics of her pet dog, a Cavapoo called Sadie but not her husband and child.

In March 2023, eagle eyed fans spotted a picture of her in her wedding dress, in the background of one of her Instagram snaps.

What shows has Sally Nugent presented?

Sally is an English journalist known for her work on the BBC.

Her first media role was at BBC Radio Merseyside before she went on to read the sports news on BBC North West Tonight.

Sally is known for her award-winning documentaries that have aired on the BBC.

In 2020 she fronted a series of high profile exclusive interviews and prime-time documentaries, including Marcus Rashford on his quest to end child food poverty.

That story won her the Scoop of the Year award at the 2021 Royal Television Society Journalism Awards.

When is Sally Nugent on BBC Breakfast?

Sally joined BBC Breakfast on a freelance basis back in 2011.

She was previously known for filling in when the show's main presenters were off.

But now she has landed the full time coveted 6am to 9.15am Monday to Wednesday slot.

She was lucky enough to become Louise Minchin's replacement in 2021.

Speaking in October 2021 about being appointed the position, Sally said in a statement:  “I’m absolutely thrilled.

Having sat beside Dan Walker until his departure in 2022, Sally now co-hosts alongside Jon Kay on the BBC Breakfast sofa.
