Love Island fans in tears over ‘uncomfortable’ onscreen breakdown as they beg Jacques to get help

LOVE Island viewers were left feeling incredibly concerned for Jacques as they watched him break down in tears throughout tonight’s episode.

The rugby player struggled with his emotions after bombshell Adam Collard walked in and threatened to rock his romance with Paige once again.

In heart-breaking scenes, Jacques made the decision to walk and was left in tears as he told Paige what he had decided.

He told her: “You mean so much to me, you know that? The past two weeks….things are hard in here, I’m finding it hard. I’m trying to put a brave face on but things are getting to me.

“I want to be with you, like I want you to be my girlfriend. I want that, so I’m going to wait. I’m counting down the days until you get out.” ”

Addressing the Islanders, the tearful lad said: “So, I’m trying my best but I’m not a fake person, I’m not going to start faking things and act like I’m ok when things inside aren’t actually ok.

“It’s just not fair on the girl, she deserves better.

“So, I’m going to be leaving today.”

Those watching at home were left feeling upset for Jacques and took to Twitter to discuss it.

One person remarked: “I really hope Jacques is ok and gets the help he needs. Takes so much to admit it and put yourself first when your mental health ain’t great #LoveIsland.”

A second added: “Regardless of jacques actions in the Villa that was a really hard episode to watch, just hope he gets the help he needs outside the villa because social media can be so toxic #loveisland.”

While a third wrote: “Love island has broke me this evening I am left in floods of tears… I hope jacques gets the support he needs it was actually awful watching that #LoveIsland.”

“Jacques…I don’t agree with his actions but in tears at him leaving… his self hatred is dangerous and I hope he gets support on his exit. I thought we were done with crucifying people online? Remember… in a world where you can be anything, be kind. #LoveIsland,” added a fourth.

It had been a tough few days for the rugby league player, 23, after struggling to placate Paige Thorne, 24, over his cheating with other girls during the show’s Casa Amor relationship test.

A spokesperson for the show said: “Jacques has made the decision to leave the Villa.

“We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques.” During his time in the villa Jacques was accused of “bullying” and “gaslighting” Paige.

His family shared that the lad from Cumbria struggles with his emotions due to ADHD.
