CASH ME OUTSIDE

I was on Love Island and here’s why none of the Islanders care about winning the £50k prize money

OLIVIA Attwood has revealed the reason behind why none of the contestants on Love Island care about winning the prize money up for grabs.

The ITV2 dating show is almost over for another year, but before the famous villa closes its doors for the summer, one lucky couple will scoop £50,000.

After the winning couple is announced the pair choose an envelope each - one says £50k and one says £0.

The person who wins the money envelope can either choose to split the cash with their other half, or keep all the money for themselves.

So far all of the winners from the previous six seasons have chosen love and decided to halve the £50k.

There hasn't been one person in the show's history who has opted to take all the money for themselves.

Despite the huge incentive to win the show, Olivia - who appeared on the show in 2017 - has admitted that nobody cares about the money.

"There are good looking girls and guys on an island dating, it's a game show, there's money at the end," said while on the Call Her Daddy podcast with Alex Cooper.

"It's a test, it's all about who can find a connection and a connection real enough to take you to the final and win that money.

"Although it's weird with Love Island, like, when you're in there, nobody really gives a s*** about the money.

"You don't even need the money at the end, it's just like a thing and nobody focuses on that."
