Love Island’s Gemma Owen bans dad Michael from wearing her swimwear designs
LOVE Island's Gemma Owen won't let her famous ex-footballer dad Michael wear any of her swimwear.
The 19-year-old dressage rider launched OG Beachwear during the first Covid lockdown in 2020 and insists that Michael does not wear any of it.
“Well, apparently I’ve tried to wear some of the shorts and she’s said, ‘No dad bods’,” Michael said on Walking The Dog podcast.
Gemma added: “He’s banned.”
Michael continued: “I’m banned – ‘no dad bods in my shorts’. I’m willing to put in a big order, but she’s still saying ‘no’.”
Gemma is the eldest of former Liverpool and Real Madrid star Michael’s four children with childhood sweetheart Louise Bonsall.

Her dad, now 42, shot to global superstardom in 1998 when he scored a wonder goal for England against Argentina in the World Cup aged just 18.
He also played for Newcastle, Manchester United and Stoke before retiring from football in 2013.
Gemma - who enjoys a jet-setting life - has forged her own successful career as a Team GB dressage champion and wants to be the next Kylie Jenner.
Gemma shared: “I would love to carry on with my business which I have just set up. It’s called OG Beachwear.

Meanwhile, Love Island fans think they have worked out that the Islanders have been banned from saying Michael Owen's name on camera.
Viewers took to social media to speculate the contestants weren't allowed to mention reality star Gemma's dad after spotting a vital "clue" in Wednesday night's episode.
Love Island fans have noted how Gemma, 19, has never mentioned her dad's name on camera, and her co-stars have also avoided it.
They became suspicious after noticing that the former professional footballer had been mentioned many times, but never by name.
During the week, Luca Bish made reference to Michael, 42, while he and his partner on the ITV2 dating show headed out on a date.
Luca, 23, has been accused of making a move on her only after figuring out she is the multi-millionaire footballer's daughter.
Speaking on their date, Luca joked that he wouldn't be able to "kick a ball" with the same skill as Gemma's dad Michael.
Gemma complimented her partner from across the table: "You have got similar humour to my dad to be fair."

He replied, leaving her awkwardly laughing at the passing mention of Michael: "If only I can kick a ball the same as he can."
Fans noted how neither of the pair used Michael's name in the exchange, prompting them to speculate it was banned.
