The View’s Whoopi Goldberg stops show to make emotional plea during live broadcast
THE VIEW co-host Whoopi Goldberg has made an emotional plea in a recent episode.
The 66-year-old stopped the live broadcast to try and set the guest up with actor Michael B. Jordan.
Actress Phoebe Robinson came on the show to talk about her new show, Everything's Trash, and her new book, Please Don't Sit On My Bed In Your Outside Clothes.
After the co-hosts talked about her book, Sunny Hostin read off its dedications.
"So you dedicate your book to your parents," she said, Phoebe nodded her head.
Sunny, 53, looked at her and continued: "But also to a friend of ours at the show, Michael B. Jordan."

"Yes," Phoebe said while laughing before she added: "I was shooting my shot."
"Oh! So you don't know him?" Sunny asked.
"I don't know him," Phoebe explained. "I never met him."
Whoopi then chimed in with: "Would you like to meet him?"
"I would like to meet him. I mean he's beautiful. He's talented. Of course, I would like to meet him," the comic said.
"Like if he wants to take me out on a date, spend money on me..." Phoebe said before she got cut off by Whoopi.
"Michael," the Ghost actress, who is friends with the Hollywood star, pleaded to the camera. "When you get a minute, give this one a call."
Phoebe's jaw hung open and she said: "Ohh. Okay," before pointing at the co-host.
Whoopi interrupted her again and said: "But wait there's more... Because she's actually really worth it. She's really smart, really funny, and fabulous."
"Not Whoopi saying, 'I'm worth it,' ok. I'm going to need that footage for life," Phoebe said.
THROWING SHADE
While Phoebe was happy with Whoopi's pleas, some fans of The View were not.
After Whoopi tried to play a little matchmaking, viewers thought she was shading Michael's ex Lori Harvey.
“Come on don't throw shade at Lori Harvey,” wrote one on Twitter. “She has a right to not have to stay with Michael.”
Another agreed: “The shade was real. I thought I was the only person that caught that little nugget.”
PARTING WAYS
Hollywood heartthrob Michael recently split from his long-term girlfriend Lori, 25.
With a 10-year age gap between the two, he was reportedly ready to settle down, while Lori wasn't.
The insider also shared with the outlet that Lori is moving on even though she is sad that their relationship didn't work out.
WHOOPI'S RANT
During another recent episode, Whoopi went on an emotional rant about the overturning of Roe v. Wade.
Guest hosts Chelsea Clinton and Alyssa Farah Griffin shared their thoughts on the ramifications of the landmark decision, along with Sunny.
Chelsea mentioned the "harassment" and "demonization of healthcare providers."
Alyssa added: "This is what drives me crazy about the current Republican party.
"It's not in step with what conservative values are."
Whoopi jumped in when Alyssa spoke about the ban on interstate travel.
She ranted: "I always thought that conservatism always thought: "We have to do this, but we don't want you in our business.
"So okay! Get out of my uterus!
"Get me to my doctor! Regardless of what's happening in my body, you don't know. You don't know who's going to get an abortion."
She continued: "We're not telling you! You don't know why people are leaving your state! So don't pretend you know!"
Whoopi concluded: "Because what you've done is make a problem when there wasn't one!"
