Coronation Street’s Stu Carpenter to keep a devastating secret from Yasmeen
STU Carpenter's past is set to come to light in scenes due to air on ITV.
But with his secrets exposed, the Coronation Street character will struggle to remain truthful with Yasmeen Nazir.
Could there be trouble brewing in paradise?
For several months, Yasmeen (portrayed by Shelley King) has had a budding romance with the former homeless man played by Bill Fellows.
This has been a challenge for the Speed Daal co-owner as she remains haunted by her past abusive marriage with Geoff Metcalfe.
However, Yasmeen could think about putting an end to her connection with the reformed chef as his dark past will be exposed in upcoming scenes of the ITV soap.

Stu will be meeting with his estranged daughter Bridget for the first time in years and the reunion will not be going well.
Speaking to The Sun and other press, actor Bill Fellows revealed why his character's relationship with Bridget could be strained.
"He absolutely loved his daughter", he said.
"I don’t think he was a perfect dad, he went off to the Navy and did his own thing. He, maybe, wasn’t there enough."

Fearful and excited for his meeting with Bridget, Stu is heartbroken when he gets rejected, as spoilers have teased.
But when speaking about his daughter to Yasmeen, Stu will prefer to keep things to himself and will lie to her.
"He wants to put it in the past. It’s a white lie. He doesn’t want to go into that, there’s a reason for that", Bill teased.
This could be due to another secret Stu is keeping from Yasmeen and all of his loved ones in the cobbles - a secret that could shock viewers.

How will Yasmeen react when she finds out Stu has been lying to her?
Bill is convinced she could "blow it out of proportion" due to her traumatic memories with Geoff and despite Stu's good intentions.
"She’s so sensitive about her past, she’s triggered easily", he revealed.
"Any lie - maybe she’ll blow it out of proportion. He didn’t mean any harm by it."
The Corrie star has also mentioned that his on-screen alter ego will "become more secretive" as episodes go by.
Since his first arrival in the cobbles, and after playing a crucial part in the investigation around Seb Franklin's death, Stu has always kept details of his past under wraps.
