Inside Coronation Street stars Sally Carman and Joe Duttine’s Italian honeymoon after they finally marry

CORONATION Street stars Sally Carman and Joe Duttine have finally married - and are celebrating their lavish honeymoon in Italy.

The TV couple - who play Tim Metcalfe and Abi Webster in the ITV soap - had to delay their wedding due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Sally, 41, and Joe, 52, finally tied the knot last week, sharing the news with their fans with a snap on Instagram, writing "we did".

This week, she followed up with selfies and snaps of Joe as they enjoyed their honeymoon break together in Italy.

"Husband. Did you know I just got married?" she captioned a snap of Joe drinking a beer as they headed out together in the sunshine.

Sally also shared snaps of their time in Verona and at the nearby Lake Garda, as they took in the sights in northern Italy.

One snap saw the couple joined by their friends as they chowed down on a delicious lunch at an Italian restaurant.

While another saw the newlyweds head out for a romantic posh dinner - as Sally dressed up in a silky black dress.

The couple then headed to the opera for the evening in Verona, before posing for a selfie outside their luxury boutique hotel.

Other photos saw the pair soaking up the sun, as Sally stripped down to a one-shoulder swimsuit as she lay on a sun lounger.

Sally and Joe first started dating in 2018 and got engaged back in the first Covid-19 lockdown in 2020.

Their wedding plans were forced to change on a number of occasions because of the pandemic, before finally tying the knot last week.

Sally and Joe were pictured in August 2018 holding hands with The Sun confirming that they hit it off while filming Coronation Street in Manchester before going on a string of secret dates.

They had told colleagues about their budding relationship and were snapped holding hands at the soap's summer party in the city’s Victoria Warehouse.

A telly source explained at the time: “Both Joe and Sally had been single for a while and just met at the right time in their lives.

“Sally thinks Joe is a funny and caring guy and he’s really fallen for her, too. They’ve now told their cast mates and everyone thinks it’s a match made in heaven.”

In the ITV soap, Sally's character Abi is in a relationship with Kevin Webster, played by Michael Le Vell.

Meanwhile, Joe's character Tim Metcalfe is married to Sally Dynevor's character Sally - with the actors rarely crossing over.
