The One Show’s Alex Jones flooded with support as she puts on brave face during ‘tricky and challenging patch in life’

THE One Show’s Alex Jones has been flooded with support following an online post describing a “tricky and challenging patch” in her life.

In the message, the Welsh presenter told her 337k Instagram followers she had been struggling as of late.

In her post, she wrote: “I haven’t had time to be on here between working and the children, but I randomly logged on and saw all your lovely messages gently asking if we were all ok.

“I was touched by your kindness and so I just wanted to check in and say thank you.

“Even though life has been a bit challenging, we are ok and still managing to enjoy the beginning of the holidays and there’s still plenty to smile about.”

Alex made no reference to the post on Tuesday evening as she co-hosted the BBC One show with former professional footballer Jermaine Jenas.

They previewed the Lionesses‘ Euro semi-final clash against Sweden, with the help of presenter and former professional footballer, Alex Scott.

They were also joined by three of the Celebrity MasterChef contestants – Danny Jones, Paul Chuckle and Nancy Dell’Olio.

Richie Anderson also revealed what we can expect from the Commonwealth Games Opening Ceremony on Thursday.

Following her post, the television star was inundated with good wishes, as one person wrote: “Sending hugs,”

Another added: “Sending love Alex to you and your family.”
