'JUST DATING'

Love Island’s Amy Day sets her sights on Adam Collard despite his romance with Paige

LOVE Island star Amy Day has revealed she has her eye on Adam Collard – despite him dating Paige Thorne.

The reality star, who appeared on last year’s series of the ITV2 juggernaut, revealed that the hunky bombshell is just her type, even though she has started recently seeing someone.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the Whsky clothes launch about her love life, Amy said: “I am currently dating someone, it’s early days. I’m just enjoying it life at the same time, as long as you’re enjoying life, that’s what’s important.”

The Love Island star attended the event with a handsome mystery man, who told The Sun that he has been enjoying getting to know Amy and the pair are seeing where things go.

Discussing this year’s series, when asked if Amy thought Islander Paige had moved on too quickly from Jacques O’Neill to Adam, Amy replied: “No, go girl, go girl 100 per cent.”

Would Amy would return to Love Island like Adam did?

“100 per cent!” she said. “Why did Adam not come back last year, can I just say?”

When The Sun reminded her that she’s now in a relationship, Amy smiled and replied: “I’m just dating….”

Referencing her romance with Hugo Hammond on the show last year, Amy said: “Hugo is a no go and a hell no but Adam Collard…”

Amy also weighed in on the Luca Bish ‘bullying’ row and revealed her sympathies are with the divisive runner-up.

Amy explained:  “It’s all how it’s edited, things are made to look worse than it was and things are massively amplified in there. I’m sure there was no bullying, it was just shown that way, so I think there is a bigger story.”

Amy added that she thought this series was “so good” and her favourites were the ones who took home the crown.

“I wanted Ekin-Su and Davide to win, just like the rest of the nation,” Amy smiled.

What advice would she give the Islanders who have just done the show?

“I’m imagining what they’re going through right now,” Amy reflected. “I’m sure they’ve been briefed to stay calm and know that they’re life has changed.

“I would just say take every opportunity that’s given to you but also be picky and choosy and just enjoy it, it goes so quick, it flies by.”
