After the newlyweds have said “I do” to a complete stranger at the altar, they will head off on a luxury honeymoon and move into a new apartment – but then be challenged to take part in Love or Hate Week.

It will force them to reveal the thing they hate most about each other.

A show source says: “The toxic twist caused fireworks – it pushed some couples to breaking point.”

Commissioning Editor Lee McMurray adds: “Accepting a partner’s failings is a crucial part of a successful marriage.

“Having to be honest about what they truly love and hate about each other will be the ultimate test, not just of our couples’ honesty, but also the strength of their marriages. It’s sure to set off fireworks.”

It sounds perfect for drama-hungry viewers.

A telly insider said: “Laura and Dane’s break-up was announced on social media.

“Not much later she was on the Celebs Go Dating line-up.

“She is a great addition to the show and says she’s open to meeting someone new – even though she has only just broken up with Dane. He might not be too impressed by this but Laura is completely up for it.”

Laura, who appeared on the fourth series of Love Island in 2018, was dating former Another Level band member Dane for five years.

The former air hostess will be joining Hollyoaks actor Gary Lucy and Simon Cowell's ex Sinitta on the E4 show when it starts filming this month.

I can’t knock her logic.

They do say you should get straight back on the horse after you’ve fallen off – and why not make a bit of money in the process?

Now she appears in new dating show Are You The One?, which hit Paramount+ last night.

She says of her career: “For The Crown, I had to slap a fake tan and eyelash ban on myself because they needed less glam. I can’t imagine the royals putting on a tanning mitt, nor having to glue on eyelashes.

“I love what I do. It never feels like I’m going to work because every day on film set is different.

“I’ve just done a new movie, Napoleon, about war. It’s going to be massive.

“With Angelina, I always loved Tomb Raider and now I’m a kickass woman who gets to stunt double for these women who I grew up watching.”

Grappling with lads on Are You The One? should be no problem.

JASON STARS AS LEGEND

PORTRAYING the late Hollywood great Cary Grant would scare even the most experienced actor.

It tells how Grant, who died in 1986 at age 82, was born Archibal Leach in Bristol in 1904 and reinvented himself in America to escape poverty.

The four-parter, written by Jeff Pope, launches on free streaming service ITVX later this year.

Jason says: “There was only one Cary Grant and I’d never be foolish enough to try to step into his shoes.

"Archie Leach, on the other hand, couldn’t be further from the character he invented to save himself. It’s the story of a man, not a legend.
