Laura Whitmore lands HUGE new job away from Love Island – after quitting radio show

LAURA Whitmore has landed a HUGE new job away from Love Island - after quitting her radio show.

The TV presenter will play Jenny in 2:22 A Ghost Story, a role previously played by Lily Allen and then Giovanna Fletcher.

Laura took to Instagram to share the happy news.

She said: "News!!! I’m joining the cast of 2:22 A Ghost Story from September 6th!

"Come see me on stage making my West End debut in this critically-acclaimed psychological thriller. For a limited run only, Book now!"

Many rushed to the comments section to congratulate her.

It comes after The Sun exclusively revealed the Love Island host has quit her high-profile job as a DJ.

Last month we revealed Laura won't be returning to her Sunday morning programme on BBC Radio 5 Live.

 The Laura Whitmore Show has aired since 2018.

A TV insider said: “Love Island has given her huge exposure and a healthy pay packet, and she’s now going to exploit that to the max.

“Laura has already hinted she has other projects in the pipeline and she can’t find the time to continue with all her roles.

“So something had to go, and it’s sad for listeners that this is what’s been jettisoned as she moves onwards and upwards.”

Laura joined Love Island in 2020.
