EASTENDERS' actor James Bye’s wife Victoria has revealed romantic marriage secrets that will help them avoid Strictly curse.

It comes after the Martin Fowler actor, 38, was announced as the latest Albert Square recruit to join Strictly Come Dancing.

James be following in the footsteps of former co-star Maisie Smith as he attempts to Waltz his way to success.

He'll have no reason to worry about the dreaded 'curse' though, after he and his wife spilled how they keep their sparkle in their romance.

Speaking toabout the Christening after-party for their third child, James said: "I even did a little strip at one point."

He explained: "My sister had bought me some workout clothes for my birthday. I think she’s trying to tell me to get in shape! So I decided to let everyone see it in all its glory. Someone put the Magic Mike song on and I did a bit of a show. I didn’t go the full monty though, our mums were there!"

It certainly went down well with Victoria.

She joked: "I let him have a birthday lie-in the next morning while I tidied up."

EastEnders fans were stunned to learn James would be joining the Strictly line-up.

He might also have his sights set on stealing the Glitter Ball trophy from co-star Rose Ayling-Ellis, who triumphed in the series finale in 2021.

James was announced after Countryfile host Hamza Yassin was revealed as the 13th contestant for Strictly 2022's line-up.

He told Friday's Good Morning Britain after host Richard Arnold congratulated him: "Thank you - I've got big shoes to fill!"

He added: "I've known for a long time - it's been hard to keep a secret. I can tell people I've lied to - if I've lied to you, apologies. It's not really sunk in."
