WEEKS after her birthday, Audrey Roberts was treated to afternoon tea with some of her oldest and closest friends.
Coronation Street viewers were left emotional and are begging bosses for more scenes of the group.
The hairdresser portrayed by Sue Nicholls was joined by Ken Barlow (played by William Roache), Roy Cropper (David Neilson) and Rita Tanner (Barbara Knox) in Debbie Webster's swanky hotel.
Audrey's son Stephen Reid had spoken to Rita over his concern for his mother and the pair arranged an afternoon tea party to cheer her up.
The group of friends were later joined by returning legend Claudia Colby (Rula Lenska) who had just gone through an argument with her partner Charles.
Reunited for the chatty gathering, the group gave viewers some hilarious scenes as they reminisced about their time together and gossiped.
Fans of the long-running ITV soap immediately took to Twitter and demanded more scenes featuring the Corrie icons.
"Can we please have more episodes with the four golden oldies? They're brilliant!", one viewer penned.
Another echoed: "I could watch an entire week's worth of Corrie, made up entirely of scenes between William Roache, Sue Nicholls, Barbara Knox and David Neilson!"
"Having all of these icons in so many scenes tonight is the perfect start to my Corrie week", a third viewer added.
