Childhood sweethearts Jenn and Elliott headed to the Greek island of Crete to take a look at some properties.

It was also the island that they would be getting married on in the coming months.

With a £100,000 budget, they had a decent amount to play with, and Laura lined up five potential homes for them to take a look at.

The first property they went to visit was gorgeous, but needed some TLC.

It had two double bedrooms, both with balconies, a large open plan living space including a kitchen lounge and dining area, and a shower room.

It also featured a huge private garden, as well as a pool and a communal BBQ area.

The couple loved the property, but they weren't set on it, going on to view a further four homes.

The final house that they viewed was a townhouse on the beachfront, listed for £108,000.

However, they weren't a fan, and cast their minds back to the first property.

Elliot told Laura: "Number one is on our minds but there is definitely a lot of work needed to get it to where we want it to be."

He also explained that his sister - who would own half of the house with him - needed to be taken into consideration.

Due to his sibling having her own young child, they all decided that the first property would be perfect.

Sitting down with Laura, the couple decided to put a low bid i for £83,000.

They soon found out it had been accepted, and it left them in tears.

This then triggered Laura, who said: "You're getting emotional and I am getting emotional."

Elliott then explained why he was so moved: "It means so much, it's money that came through from family members who have passed away."
