The celebrity special featured stars Sunetra Sarker, David Arnold, Matty Lee and Basil Brush and they faced off against newest chaser Darragh Ennis in a bit to win money for their chosen charities.

Despite fans being excited to watch the outcome as it happened on their TV screen at home, they were quick to take their disappointment to the comments section of Instagram and blasted the show for revealing the ending prematurely.

One user penned: “Well that's just ruined it for me lol."

Another annoyed fan agreed adding: "Did you really mean to post this? The ultimate spoiler alert."

A third said: "They ruined it! Why post the chase results now you have spoiled it now for everyone who was going to watch it."

One viewer was left so upset they claimed the early reveal of the result had ‘ruined’ their night.

They wrote: "Was going to enjoy this tonight but now you've revealed the results not going to bother. Thanks, @itvchase ruined my night now."

Ackley Bridge star Sunetra was first up and she impressed viewers with her knowledge as she built up a cash builder round of £5,000.

She managed to take the money back to the table as David joined her adding an impressive £8,000.

Finally both diver Matty and icon Basil Brush added another £3,000 each to the prize pot before all four celebrities had the chance to take on the chaser in the final round.

The celebrities performed well in their closing round and whilst chaser Darragh had an initially strong performance, a number of simple slip-ups allowed the celebs to gain some pushbacks

As previously announced by their official Instagram page, the celebs were triumphant and managed to bag the £19,000 to split equally amongst their chosen charities.

As Darragh audibly expressed his annoyance at being beaten by the star contestants they rejoiced in celebration with show host Bradley Walsh.

The £19,000 was split equally between Savera UK, CARE International UK, MIND Charity and Marie Curie UK.
