Shocking moment Ferne McCann batters EastEnders’ Maisie Smith in sickening Celebrity SAS scenes

EASTENDERS favourite Maisie Smith and ex-Towie star Ferne McCann were seen battering one another in a real-life fight.

The pair were ordered to battle in a sickening scene on Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins.

The stars were reluctant to get involved - but the ferocious onscreen staff on the show insisted they attack one another.

Ferne, 32, was heard saying: "It makes me feel physically sick at the thought of fighting."

However, when given the command, she threw herself at former EastEnders actress Maisie, 21, with her fists flying.

One viewer gasped: "Ferne McCann and Maisie Smith were fully smashing each other up!"

Another tweeted: "Can’t believe I’ve never watched SAS Who Dares Wins before. Maisie Smith and Ferne McCann punching seven bells of s**t out of each other on TV."

Speaking after the fight, Maisie told The Sun: "They went, ‘Go,’ and I wasn’t expecting her to just go crazy.

"But she literally just went, ‘Agh,’ and just screamed. I think she shut her eyes, screamed and just went crazy.

“I thought, ‘OK. I need to step up my game’. I was going for a solid minute with just screaming and punching, like a proper cat fight."

She added: "I got a couple of good punches in. It wasn’t like a normal boxing ring. It was non-stop.

“I think neither of us wanted to do it. We just closed our eyes, pictured someone we hated and absolutely went crazy on each other.

“After I’d done it, one of the DS [Directing Staff] was like: ‘Well done. You actually smashed it, Tiny Temper’. That was it. After that, the name was stuck.”

Later actress Jennifer Ellison and Pete Wicks were pitted against one another but he said: "I don't know if I could fight a bird."

He was told: "Don't f**king shake your head. You don't get a choice of your enemy."

In the end he complied, but was in pieces after he punched her in the back of the head.

Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins returned for a new series last night, with stars including Fatima Whitbread and Ashley Cain.
