Married At First Sight UK fans fume as Kwame remarks on wife Kasia weight – but many say she’s no better

MARRIED At First Sight fans have been left in shock after newlywed Kwame made a comment about bride Kasia's weight moments after they said 'I do'.

Business consultant Kwame, 42, admitted he 'usually goes for someone more petite' after tying the knot with Kasia, 36.

Horrifying MAFS UK viewers, Kwame said: "More often than not I go for someone usually more petite."

Fans could not believe their ears, with many taking to Twitter to share their thoughts on his remark.

One raged: "Kwame: 'I usually go for someone more petite'. Clown, you’re on this show because you’ve got NO ONE."

Another added: “'I go for someone more petite' sorry what?"

A third tweeted: "Oh he went there … stood next a beautiful woman and says ‘normally I go for someone more petite’."

And a fourth fumed: “'I usually go for someone more petite' - DID HE JUST MENTION HER WEIGHT? HOLD ME BACK."

However, during the episode, Kasia was also shown speaking negatively about her new husband's appearance.

And as a result, some viewers feel she is just as bad as Kwame.

Kasia told the cameras: "I did think, 'Oh, you're a bit slim and a bit short...but he looks sharp and he looks neat."

Prior to their wedding, the businesswoman - who owns a body contour clinic - had also warned: "If he's a bit short there's going to be a problem."

Sharing their thoughts, another fan tweeted: "Not sure why people are going in on Kwame for saying he prefers someone more petite (is he not allowed a preference)? Kasia prefers taller, bigger men so what's the difference?"

Another chimed in: "Kasia 'He’s too slim / short' Kwame 'She’s too big' Any different?"

A third agreed: "Good grief he's too short, she's too heavy....a match made in overly picky/not focusing on the important stuff hell."

Later on in the episode, the pair were seen getting to know each other at their wedding reception.

While chatting to his bride, Kwame admitted he has been married before. Kasia is a mum after giving birth to a son age 16.

The new bride was then seen hinting that she wanted to sleep with her husband on their wedding night.

Kwame, however, told her he wanted to save getting intimate until he knows Kasia better.
