Married couple Matt and Laura had joined Scarlette on the Channel 4 show in search of the perfect home abroad.

Their location of choice was Tuscany, in the Italian countryside.

Matt and Laura explained that they had a healthy £180,000 budget, and were hoping to find a home with stunning views and plenty of space.

They wanted it to be a gorgeous relaxing place, where their grown-up children could come to visit them.

Things started off well for the couple, as Scarlette took them to a see a large three-bedroom property.

It was a farmhouse, which had a modern kitchen and a huge open-plan living area, and on the market for just under £170,000.

However, things soon changed when they viewed the third property on Scarlette's list.

Despite having four bedrooms and gorgeous views, the property wasn't up to the couple's standards.

Firstly, it was slightly over-budget at £187,500, but it wasn't the price which bothered them.

Scarlette said to the spouses: "I am sensing that you’re not as elated as you were with the previous one."

Matt replied: "The location is a little bit of an issue.

"It feels like you come off some very remote roads, down a remote track into the woods.

"It just feels very disconnected.”

Laura agreed, adding that if this were to be a permanent move for them it might be better suited, but that they were only looking for a holiday home.

Scarlette asked them if they were keen to keep looking for another home, but they bluntly decided they'd had enough of the house hunt.

Matt said: "I think we’ve probably drawn a line on this one."

Laura added: "The house is lovely, but it’s about location. So I think it will be a no," before walking off-camera.

Viewers weren't impressed with the couple and took to social media to share their thoughts.

One wrote: "Urgh I tuned in for a pair of messers.
