Emmerdale to air on new night in massive ITV schedule shake-up as bosses confirm when ‘missing’ episode will screen
ITV have confirmed when Emmerdale will return to screens - and it's on a new night.
The Dales-set drama was removed from the schedules on Thursday and Friday night as the channel devoted itself to coverage of Her Majesty's tragic passing.
But now bosses have revealed the episode of the soap which was originally planned to air on Thursday night will screen on Sunday September 11th instead.
Emmerdale does not usually air at the weekend, but tomorrow night viewers can see Thursday's hour-long instalment at 6.35pm.
There is currently no word on when the episode that was originally scheduled for Friday September 9th will screen.
This was also set to be an hour-long episode, and it is unconfirmed whether it will remain so, or screen as two separate half-hour episodes.

Emmerdale's rare Sunday outing will replace the previously scheduled edition of RuPaul's game show, Celebrity Lingo.
Gino's Italy: Like Mama Used to Make and Ridley will air at 7.30pm and 8pm as planned.
But outside of these shows, ITV's schedule will be made up entirely of programming devoted to the late Queen and King Charles III.
No advertising will run during any royal coverage.
ITV have confirmed that more schedule changes will be made over the coming days, but there will be a return to some of the network's regular programming in the coming days.
ITV will, however, will continue to broadcast all important state events, including the historic funeral of the Queen, which will air with extensive coverage across the main channel.
