Parents horrified after character in Disney’s Pinocchio blurts out ‘offensive’ swear word

DISNEY'S Pinocchio remake has left parents stunned after a character blurts out the word "b****cks" in the new Tom Hanks flick.

The children's classic released last week on Disney+ was slammed as 'offensive' by mums and dads.

An hour into the animated film the devilish coachman yells out the swear word after Pinocchio escapes Pleasure Island by jumping off a cliff.

One dad whose five-year-old was watching the film told The Sun: “I stunned to hear that word in a kids' film. "What were they thinking?

"Disney is supposed to be family friendly and they could have easily cut it out."

The scene sees Pinocchio flee Pleasure Island, run by the evil coachman who turns naughty boys and girls into donkeys.

After the wooden boy falls into the water the coachman, voiced by Luke Evans, says: “B****cks. Wooden donkey would have been worth a bleeding fortune.”

Ofcom have ruled the word as ”medium offensive".

The remake stars Tom Hanks as Gepetto, Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Pinocchio, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Jiminy Cricket.

Pinocchio has been panned by critics with Empire Magazine giving it just two out of five stars.

A Disney+ subscription costs almost £100 a year at £8 a month.

Disney have been approached for comment.
