Inside Rose Ayling Ellis’ holiday in Maldives as she tries to get over split from Sam Arnold
SHE must have heard the saying “catch flights, not feelings” – as fresh from her break-up with boyfriend Sam Arnold, Rose Ayling-Ellis jetted off to the Maldives with a friend.
The actress, who until last month played Frankie Lewis in BBC soap EastEnders, looked on great form as she posed in a black bikini, below.
Rose, who last year won Strictly Come Dancing as the BBC show’s first ever deaf contestant, split with Sam earlier this month after a seven-year romance.
She deserves every minute of her time off.
The pina coladas are on me, Rose. Enjoy.

Lauren tecs it to heart
OUTLANDER star Lauren Lyle has taken her lead role in upcoming ITV drama Karen Pirie seriously.
Really, really seriously.
She plays a detective reopening a cold case that has become the subject of a true-crime podcast.

And Lauren was intent on doing a good job. She said: “I read the scripts hundreds of times. Like a detective, I got huge pieces of paper that I taped together and put on my wall, with details of the whole case.
“It’s so complicated that I had to make sure I understood it, so I kept referencing back to this map on my wall. There are so many suspects and I had to walk into each scene remembering if Karen really did suspect them or if she secretly trusted them.”
The series starts on September 25 and is based on crime author Val McDermid’s bestselling book The Distant Echo.
I’m sure Lauren read that cover to cover, too.
DOCTOR WHO bosses have teased what fans can expect from Jodie Whittaker’s farewell later this year – the feature-length special where the 13th Doctor regenerates will be called The Power of the Doctor and it will feature the introduction of Ncuti Gatwa as No14.
Amber: OK to be a puzzle
AMBER GILL says she and Harry Styles are united – openly discussing their sexual ambiguity.
She told podcast Straight Up: “It takes pressure off other people, if you’ve got Harry Styles and me.
“If you’ve got people making it normal, it makes it more normal, and it should be. It started as this thing where you have to tell everyone, but it should just be a normal way of life.”
Amber, who just bowed out of Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, came out on Twitter in July.
She adds: “Who you’re dating doesn’t have to be a big announcement. Who says it has to be?”
STEPH’S HIT ON A BUG IDEA
STEPH McGOVERN is clearly taking inspiration from her role as custodian of Packed Lunch.
The host of the Channel 4 lunchtime show – featuring celebrity guests, fantastic food, and lifestyle and consumer stories – has set up a “health hub” in Folkestone, Kent, and it features the UK’s first live BACTERIA bar, which serves treats including kombucha and kefir drinks.
It’s meant to be good for gut health and all came about after Steph had neuroscientist Julia Jones on her show and the two decided to team up on the new venture.
And you’re telling me that a straight-up cheese-and-pickle sandwich doesn’t do the trick for health and happiness?
Beastly offer to 'vet' Nick
IT sounds like Nicholas Ralph has taken method-acting to a new level.
In his role as country vet James Herriot in the Channel 5 reboot of All Creatures Great And Small, he has worked closely with an expert in animal medicine.
And he has proven to be so adept at working with animals that he has been offered a job as a real-life vet.
Following the show’s return last night, Nicholas said: “The vet Andy Barrett told me I’d done really well with the procedures – and would I like a job working with him?
“It’s true that I’ve learned to do a few things on the show, such as suturing – where I put stitches in a prosthetic dog, a stand-in for one of the real creatures in the show – using a needle and thread.
“But I said no to the job offer from Andy. I was flattered but I’m an actor, not a vet.”

STRANGER THINGS star MAYA HAWKE wants her character Robin killed off. She told Rolling Stone magazine: “I’d love to die and get my hero’s moment. I’d love to die with honour, as any actor would.” She said “people are probably going to die” in the Netflix saga’s fifth and final series in 2023.
