But over the weekend Nina took to Twitter to share an update from something that happened off screen.

She tweeted: "I know people say London isn’t a friendly city, but someone just offered me a priority Tube seat thinking I’m pregnant, which I’m not. So that’s nice isn’t it."

One of Nina's followers replied: "Not sure to laugh or feel sorry for you. At least the gesture was there."

Nina, who is married to husband Ted and has two children, responded with a picture of a fry up and joked: "Blaming my tiny breakfast."

Another follower replied: "I think it’s the old lady look and not pregnancy because in their eyes you looked elderly.
Personally I think you look great. Honest."

Nina responded: "This is not helpful" alongside crying with laughter and old lady emojis.

Her story then prompted a number of her female followers to reply with their own mortifying experiences of people mistaking them for being pregnant on the London Underground.

A number of men also replied to share their embarrassment at getting it wrong too.

Nina has been married to Ted - who works as a caterer - since 2014.

The pair met a year earlier in Croatia and have two children together, Digby, six, and Michael, four.

BBC Breakfast airs daily from 6am on BBC One.
