Masked Dancer fans convinced Strictly star is Sea Slug – saying panellist Oti Mabuse is ‘in for a shock’

THE MASKED Dancer fans are convinced Strictly Come Dancing star is Sea Slug - saying panellist Oti Mabuse is "in for a shock".

The ex Strictly pro, 32, will recognise one of the upcoming celebs unmasked on the ITV dance competition, according to viewers.

They've insisted the celeb playing Sea Slug, an entirely purple sea animal with big cartoony eyes and orange features, is her older sister Motsi, 39.

Motsi has already returned to screens in Strictly Come Dancing which is filmed live, while The Masked Dancer was pre-recorded earlier this year.

Taking to Twitter, one viewer said: "themaskeddancer slug is motsi mabussi"

Another agreed, writing: "Wouldn't it be funny if sea slug was Motsi Mabuse #MaskedDancerUK"

And a third typed: "I think seaslug is Motsi Mabuse #MaskedDancerUK"

However, the panel had their own thoughts as to who was behind the mask.

Peter Crouch wasted no time guessing they were fashion expert, DJ and chef Gok Wan.

Davina McCall guessed along the same lines, while Oti went for I'm A Celeb star Fleur East.

Jonathan Ross seemed to be in fantasy land with his guess of One Direction's Zayn Malik.

In their VT, Sea Slug said they are a "friendly, squishy softy" that can be a "little spiky if they have to be".

They also drew attention to their bright, glow in the dark colours and said they were going to "make a splash" on the dance floor.

After their performance, Sea Slug gave a final clue and said they know "how to scrub up well".

Peter immediately thought of TV show Scrubs, but admitted he didn't know any character, while Oti suggested Drag Race star Michelle Visage.
