Our Yorkshire Farm’s Amanda Owen finally addresses ‘really tough’ split from husband Clive

AMANDA Owen has finally opened up on her 'tough' split from her husband Clive earlier this year.

The Our Yorkshire Farm star announced in June that she and Clive would be separating.

At the time, she said: "Clive and I are sad to confirm that we have made the difficult decision to separate.

"This hasn’t been easy, but we both believe it’s the right choice for the future of our family."

And now Amanda, 48, who has nine children with Clive, has told of how tough the split was - especially as there were cameras around so often.

Speaking to ITV's Lorraine show on Thursday the farmer told presenter Christine Lampard: "It is really tough and it is a really difficult aspect of it to get across.

"But when you do reality [TV] it has to be just that. That means it covers the ups and downs and that can be on any level."

The Yorkshire shepherdess was married to Clive for 22 years and they share a 2,000 acre farm.

"Life carries on on the farm," she explained. "Obviously there is a whole raft of things to do – nine children, a whole heap of animals.

"We are just working away same as before.

"Because at the end of the day our priority remains, of course, to keep everything going. There you go, that’s how it is."

While it's unclear if fans of the estranged couple and Our Yorkshire Farm will see another series, Channel 5 has said they will work with the pair again.

In a short statement the broadcaster said they both "are very much a part of the Channel 5 family and we will continue to work with them in the future".

Lorraine airs weekdays from 8:30am on ITV.
