Rachel pulled a twisted grimace to the camera after she clocked two words "jizz" and "louder" put together in sequence.

But ever the consummate professional, Rachel managed to keep a straight face and got on with the show.

However, the naughty phrase certainly didn't go unnoticed by those playing along at home, with many taking to Twitter to air their thoughts.

Alongside an array of shocked-faced emojis, one person penned: "Rachel has been a bit naughty there. Any need to spell out jizz and louder next to one another?"

Echoing their comments, someone else said: "You can always rely on Countdown to throw up the odd rude word/phrase or two."

While a third added: "Rachel Riley is a master of butter wouldn’t melt mischief."

The star, who has been co-presenting Countdown for over a decade, once treated fans to a selection of the naughtiest words to have ever appeared on the show.

The cringeworthy letters which are picked at random included, "erection", "shags", "todgers", "vaginas", "orgasms" and, most bizarrely of all, ";OK I squirt".
