BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty bids emotional farewell to co-star as he quits show
NAGA Munchetty has bid an emotional farewell to her co-star Owain Wyn Evans as he prepares to exit the show.
Earlier this month, the Welsh broadcaster confirmed he will be departing the staple morning series next year in order to join BBC Radio 2.
Posting to Twitter, Owain wrote: "Some news. I’m joining BBC Radio 2!
"From January, I'll be presenting the new Early Breakfast Show live from gorgeous Cardiff, making it the first daily Radio 2 show to be broadcast from Wales."
Among the many followers to congratulate Owain on his big career move was his BBC Breakfast colleague Naga.
In an emotional post, the former Strictly Come Dancing star shared her best wishes for her exiting co-star, writing in a reply: "Congratulations!"

Owain was quick to reply to Naga's well-wishes and responded: "Thank you, Naga!
"I am sad that I won't be able to share a little Sat morning innuendo-induced raised eyebrow and pursed lip with you on BBC Breakfast anymore, but very excited for the new show!"
Naga was swiftly followed by other fans wanting to wish Owain well.
One fan wrote: "Fabulous news, Owain. Congratulations!"
Another commented: "Amazing news, Owain. You were always destined for great things! Really pleased for you."
While a third added: "Congratulations! Well deserved recognition for a talented Carmarthenshire broadcaster."
