How 2 star Gareth Jones looks unrecognisable 30 years after starring alongside Carol Vorderman on kids’ TV show
FOR 16 years Gareth Jones helped answer fascinating questions on popular kids TV show How 2.
The revamped kids version of the original 1960s programme proved a big success and stayed true to its formula of answering questions starting with 'How'.
Its superstar presenting team famously always signed off with "That's How.... for now."
Gareth played a pivotal role in getting Carol Vorderman to sign up to the show in the late 80s, recommending her for the rebooted programme after working with her on Pick of the Week for Yorkshire TV.
Leading the line-up was the late Fred Dinenage, who presented the original How programme, which was aimed at adults and solving questions that might be debated down at the pub.

Carol, who presented on Countdown simultaneously, left the show in 1997 and weather woman Sian Lloyd stepped in to fill the void.
Her time was short-lived though and a year later another familiar face joined Fred and Gareth: Gail Porter.
Like Sian before her, Gail left after only one series and was replaced by the fourth and final female presenter during its 16 year run: Gail McKenna.
This final line-up rivalled its early days in popularity and was considered the best of the lot.
Proud Welshman Gareth, now 61, has made guest appearances on various kids TV programmes since How 2 came to an end in 2005.
He has also been a talking head on shows looking back on memorable children's TV shows.
More recently he starred in The Tommy Cooper Show as Miff Ferrie, and the keen petrol head presents his own car show Gareth Jones On Speed.
