SHIRLEY Ballas praised Matt Goss on Saturday’s Strictly amid ‘feud’ claims – but fans were not impressed.

Earlier this week, some Strictly viewers were convinced Shirley, 62, “didn’t like” Matt, 54.

Some fans felt Shirley didn’t like the Bros singer after previous comments

It comes off the back of other fans supposedly spotting off-screen drama between Shirley and Fleur East.

But on tonight’s show, Shirley had nicer things to say about Matt’s Jive with pro partner Nadiya Bychkova.

She said: “There is no disputing that you are 100 percent committed to this competition, for sure.

“You’ve come out today, I can see it in your eyes that you really want it and want to improve.

“There are some things that are improvements, your commitment to what you are doing, I find your coordination is starting to get the opposite arm to foot so I think you’re actually doing quite well there.

“Now is time to focus a little bit more on the feet, so a little bit more on that, more rhythm and I think you’re on your way.”

However, viewers then took issue with the fact that Shirley only scored Matt a five.

It was the same score she gave Will Mellor, who received a much harsher critique.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: “Shirley score Will and Matt the same ??!!”

Another added: “In what world was Matt the same level as Will Shirley?”

A third tweeted: “Shirley thinks Matt and Will are the same standard…”
