EASTENDERS fans were in for a whole lot of drama during tonight’s episode of the show as Jack Branning received some shocking news.
In recent weeks, fans have seen Amy Branning and Denzel Danes develop a budding romance and Amy has been super keen to win Denzel over and keep him on side.
As the episode opened, it was all smiles and giggles for the Branning clan as Jack (Scott Maslen) danced around to the Years & Years hit Desire as Amy and Ricky cringed at his ‘dad-dancing’.
Later, as Amy hears that some of hers and Denzel’s classmates are starting to have sex, she opens up to Lily Slater about her decision to make that step with Denzel.
As Amy says to Lily ‘it’s only sex’, a surprised Lily responds: “So, you’re telling me you’re actually thinking?”
Amy says: “You’re the one who told me last week that I should actually do it!”

Amy went on to tell Lily about her reasonings for making the decision: “I don’t want him to dump me.”
As visibly nervous Amy continues to rattle through her decision throughout the episode, including deciding to not use protection, Denzel eventually arrives at her house after Jack takes Denise ( out for a romantic date night.
Amy suggests to Denzel: “We could take it upstairs, if you want?”
After an awkward pause and Amy going off to get some crisps, Denzel stumbles as he says: “Upstairs? Upstairs sounds good.”

Elsewhere, Stacey (Lacey Turner) confronts Lily who is acting suspicious after noticing her being funny around Denzel and Amy and it’s not long before Stacey has turned up at Jack and Denise’s date night with a stunning revelation.
As Amy and Denzel agree to go ‘slow’ and press pause on their plans to have sex, the pair kiss just as an explosive Jack bombards into the room and grabs Denzel as Amy shouts and panics.
Jack pins Denzel against the wall as he ferociously shouts: “She’s 13!”
Fans were left cringing that Amy’s kiss with Denzel was interrupted by her father as they took to Twitter to air their thoughts.
One wrote: "Why is Jack screaming at Denzel as if the poor boy is not 13 as well"
Another said: "I want to say Jack just did the right thing as a dad but maybe not by throwing Denzel against a wall…"
"I get Jack's concern for Amy however none of this is on Denzel. Amy wanted to have sex and was influenced by Lilly and by the boys teasing Denzel," noted a third.
