Idris, 50, who became a household name as DCI John Luther in the BBC hit series, is looking to flog perfumes, after shave balms and cosmetics.

A source said: “Idris is a clever businessman as well as a top actor.

“A new trademark has been created by him with lots of exciting additions, including cosmetics and more skin care products – as well as perfumes and aftershave balms.

“There is also a possibility of a podcast and other ideas focused around wellbeing – nothing is off the table.”

Idris and his wife Sabrina launched their first ever skincare brand, S’Able Labs, earlier this summer with a capsule collection of three items – a cleanser, a toner and a moisturiser.

Prices range from £28 to £50.

Idris previously said he got into skincare because of his acting work – which includes playing Nelson Mandela in The Long Walk To Freedom and as Heimdall in the Thor franchise.

He said: “As an actor, my skin is always a conversation when I sit in the make-up chair.
