Chris Moyles lands huge six-figure pay packet for I’m A Celebrity – here’s how he compares to biggest earners
CHRIS Moyles will rake in a massive quarter of a million pounds for his time on the upcoming series of I’m A Celebrity.
The former Radio 1 star, 48, has jetted into Australia to appear in the ITV series after securing the bumper £250k pay packet – making him one of the highest paid stars of the series.
I’m A Celeb hosts Ant and Dec have been keen to get Chris on board for over a decade so it’s no surprise bosses pulled out all the stops.
A TV insider said: "Everyone is so excited about Chris taking part and think he will be worth every penny.
"Chris is already a massive household names and lots of people will be tuning in just to see him."
In the past Chris has expressed reluctance to do the show and just last year insisted he would be rubbish at it – but was perhaps swayed by the big money offer.
The DJ, who now hosts a show on Radio X, admitted he would struggle on the show because of his crippling fear of heights.
“I just wouldn’t be good on I’m a Celeb because we had Tiff’s niece last week and we took her to Go Ape, you know the treetop adventure place?

“I papped myself and I realised I’m more scared of heights than I actually genuinely thought I was, and I knew I was scared of heights.”
Chris’ hefty pay packet puts him up there with some of the highest paid stars to take part in the show.
The undisputed King of the Jungle in terms of pay is Noel Edmonds, who bagged £600,000 as a late addition to the 2018 cast.
But despite receiving £100,000 more than series winner Harry Redknapp, Edmonds failed to win over the public and was the first to be voted out of the camp.
