Speaking on Paul Danan's The Morning After podcast in May 2020, Will revealed that the pair's relationship did not last after the comedy finished airing because she snubbed his efforts to get the cast back together for a reunion series or special.

"I don't know what happened, she won't reply to my calls or text messages at all,"  Will, who played Gaz in the BBC2 sitcom said at the time.

"Sheridan just won't talk about it," he continued.

"It's like she just won't pick up the phone about it. There is just no point in going down that route.

"I wanted to be there but she's just not interested so there is no point in going there. We can't get a Two Pints reunion together without her."

The comedy starred Ralph Little and Natalie Casey alongside Will and Sheridan, and ran from 2001 - 2011.

It followed a group of pals dealing with life, love and all the messiness in between.

In 2021, Will also spoke out about his hurt that Sheridan hadn't made contact with him after his sad Bill died in April 2020.

Bill died from lung cancer that spread to his brain.

"I haven't spoken to her in about six years. I tried calling her for about a year but she never got back to me," he told OK! magazine late last year.

"I offered her my support when her father died, but she never reached out when my dad passed away, which was quite significant for me as we were very close and she knew my family. That said a lot to me."

Will insisted there was no bad blood between the pair, adding: "I wish her well with her career and life though."

After Two Pints ended, Sheridan's career soared with award winning roles in the likes of Mr Biggs, Cilla and The Moorside.

Will, meanwhile, enjoyed roles in Broadchurch, EastEnders and Line of Duty, but made no secret of his desire to get Two Pints back on the air.

The star is currently flying high on Strictly Come Dancing, where he is partnered with Nancy Xu.

He has been married to wife, Michelle McSween for 15 years and the couple share two kids together Jayden, 18, and Renee, 14.

In an exclusive chat with The Sun, the actor revealed that date nights are very much still on the cards and that the pair have a day each week blocked off for each other’s company.

Will shared: “We do date night every week. We find it hard at the moment though because I am on the dance floor on Strictly every Saturday, but usually Saturday night is always date night.”
