Escape to the Chateau’s Angel shares concerns after ‘big year’ with husband Dick Strawbridge
FANS were ecstatic as Escape to the Chateau returned to screens this weekend.
The Channel 4 show chronicles life for Dick Strawbridge and his wife Angel Adoree and it has returned for its last ever outing.
The popular programme returned for its ninth season and follows the husband and wife duo who have spent five years renovating Château de la Motte-Husson where they host weddings.
However, after two years of no operations, Angel was left with major concerns in the opening episode.
Angel was left worried about the 'big year' ahead of them and felt as though the pair did not have enough time to get everything prepared again for it to be in tip-top shape.
In one scene, while walking with children Dorothy and Arthur, Angel aired her thoughts and concerns to Dick about what was to come.
Angel said: "I'm afraid, babes that this is a big year for us, this is a year of celebration.

"We haven't got time to be doing this stuff, we have got to put our focus back on the house."
As Dick agreed, he said: "It's interesting because if you look across, you can still see the work that has to be done before the first wedding."
After two years of being closed to the public, the popular pair had booked 12 weddings to take place across the summer with Angel even admitting that it felt like they were starting all over again and back at the beginning of the process.
Dick then added: "We are worried about getting the Chateau functioning and Petal [their dog] is worrying there might be a little mouse or something on our land.

"Got to think about our priorities."
Angel further remarked: "This is the calm before the storm."
Later in the show, the realities of the extent of the work that needed doing really hit home for Angel.
She expressed her shock as she asked: "Has it always been this bad?"
With just a month to go until the first wedding of the season, Angel's panic set as she worries they would not finish the project in time.
Attempting to add some reassurance, a doting Dick told his beloved wife: "Theoretically there is enough time."

As part of requirements, Angel told Dick: "It is fine to have scaffolding around the back, but not here and this needs to be tidied up."
