I’m A Celeb bosses reveal why show’s highest paid star Boy George will get ‘worst’ Bushtucker Trial eating tasks

I’M A Celeb bosses have vowed to give Boy George “worse” Bushtucker eating trials than his camp mates – after signing him up for a huge fee.

Producers are desperate to get their money’s worth and plan to leave the pop icon heaving over “stinky” dishes.

Blended camel testicles, fish eyes, deer testicle, a pig’s anus and a cow’s penis have been on the menu in previous Bushtucker Trials.

But executive producer Olly Nash said the nasty dishes will be even worse for George, 61, because he’s vegetarian.

George will be served plates of fermented fruits and veggies which give off a stomach-churning stench.

Discussing George’s options, Olly teased: “It’s actually, weirdly, more stinky and more gross than eating the meat products.”

Olly added to : “We have always got alternatives if people are vegan or vegetarian and either need to eat in camp, and don’t want to eat the main meal, or for the trials.”

There will always be a vegetarian and vegan option available for the I’m A Celebrity campmates with these specific dietary requirements.

Vegetarians do not eat any animal flesh – this includes cow, pig, chicken and fish – while vegans go further by not eating anything derived from an animal, including eggs, milk and butter.

Stars on the series are usually promised 700 calories through basic rations of rice and beans, which are vegetarian.

I'm a Celeb's Maura Higgins reveals surprise post-jungle 'diet'

Vegans and vegetarians have taken part in the show since series one.

In 2017, stand-up comedian Shaparak Khorsandi revealed she was vegan shortly before joining the Jungle.

However, she ditched her plant-based diet for the show. Eventually, she did confess to falling ill, where she requested vegan-only food for the remainder of the show.

At the time, Shaparak said: “I had meat, and I was really, really physically sick, five times in one hour. It was horrible.”

George shot to fame in the Eighties with Culture Club and the popular music star has reportedly secured a £500,000 appearance fee.
