Coronation Street star teases exit after 22 years playing iconic character
CORONATION Street legend Sue Cleaver has teased her exit from the soap after 22 years.
The actress - who plays Eileen Grimshaw in the ITV soap - is set to enter the I’m A Celebrity jungle on Sunday night, but she hasn’t had much time to prepare.
Instead she was filming her exit scenes for the soap right up until the last minute before flying to Australia.
Sue has been a major star in the soap since 2000.
Her character Eileen was married to serial killer Pat Phelan, her son Todd became the soap’s first gay character and she has had a long-running feud with cobbles icon Gail Platt.
However it is not yet known if Sue’s exit is a permanent one or not.

Asked about her preparations for the jungle, Sue told The Sun and other press: "No, I've been trying to get the scenes filmed that they needed filming at work before I came out here.
“So my priority has been getting my proper work done before I headed out."
However Sue has got some helpful advice from her Corrie pals who have previously appeared on I’m A Celebrity.
Her on-screen boss Simon Gregson, and neighbour Jennie McAlpine both took part in the show.
And they were shocked that she signed up.
"I think they were quite surprised when they heard that I was going to do it,” Sue added.
“But yeah, I know. I've got their support behind me, which is a lovely thing. So yeah, I'm just raring to go now.
"They haven't told me to watch out for anything. They've just said that you just go and enjoy it and have a great adventure.
