Escape to the Chateau’s Dick Strawbridge’s son reveals why he’s nervous about new show
JAMES Strawbridge revealed why he's "nervous" about new BBC cooking show, Strawbridge over the Drawbridge.
Chef James, 38, is the eldest son of Escape to the Chateau star Dick Strawbridge.
He has his own BBC cooking programme named Strawbridge over the Drawbridge.
The three-part series was filmed across Northern Island.
The chef is tasked with trying to impress the owners of country houses and estates with his meals.
He visits country houses, learns their histories and cooks a feast for the owners.
Each owner has a silver bell with them at dinner and James only hears it ring if they have decided his cooking is good.
Speaking about his experience while filming, he told , "When I was in Northern Ireland, it was almost a mind-blowing experience to get to go into people's homes and see how lords and ladies live in these gorgeous, massive houses."

But he confessed he got "nervous" about cooking meals for the homeowners.
"I was confident that the food tasted good because I liked the look of it and I wanted to eat it but I just didn't know what you know what the homeowners wanted.
"So when it came time for them to sort of choose whether or not they are going to ring that bell I was really nervous," he admitted.
James also revealed he shares a love for cooking with his father.

He said: "I'd say one other thing in common is we love cooking together.
"The kitchen is always the heart of a home. It's where people gather and where you share a meal."
Dick is usually seen tending to his herbs and vegetables on his acres of land in Escape to the Chateau and cooking in the lavish family kitchen.
Strawbridge over the Drawbridge is available to watch on BBC iPlayer.
