Sophie Turner is worlds away from Game of Thrones as she fronts new ITVX drama based on true story
GAME Of Thrones star Sophie Turner will be fronting a brand new ITVX drama coming soon.
The 26-year-old actress, who is best known for her role as Sansa Stark in the HBO series, will star in Joan, a six-part drama.
The exciting new commission will premiere on ITV's brand new streaming service, ITVX.
It is inspired by the true story of notorious jewel thief, Joan Hannington, set in the 1980s.
It is a powerful female story that is set to bring in a huge audience to the streaming service.
Speaking of her new role, Sophie said: "I’m so excited to be bringing Joan Hannington’s fascinating life story to screen in Joan.

Viewers will be first introduced to Joan in her twenties, a fiery, uncompromising, and intoxicating character, who is not without her own deep scars and vulnerability.

However, when he goes on the run, Joan seizes the moment to leave her old life.

The show is set to start filming in London in the Spring of 2023.
