Escape to the Chateau star Dick Strawbridge’s son reveals who will inherit famous Channel 4 home
DICK Strawbridge's son James has revealed his half-siblings will inherit the Channel 4 chateau in the future, rather than him.
James Strawbridge is Dick's eldest son from his first marriage to Brigit A. Weiner and has forged a career for himself as a TV and social media chef and food photographer as well as appearing on the hit Channel 4 programme with his family.
Dick and Angel currently reside at the stunning property in France with their two young children, Arthur, nine, and Dorothy, eight.
James, the star of his own BBC cookery series Strawbridge Over the Drawbridge, opened up on the future of the Chateau and how it will be passed down to Arthur and Dorothy and their future generations.
Speaking to the Express, he said: "When you go to the chateau the work being done with the renovation is quite quick compared to when you look at a house with a 500-year history.
"Arthur and Dorothy's great-grandchildren in many years' time and like one of the next generations will probably have a bit more of a chilled-out vibe."

Angel recently opened up on her relationship with step-son James during an appearance on the NetMums Sweat, Snot & Tears podcast, saying: "Me and James, we get on really, really well – we’re always talking about [how] he’s a real foodie and completely fabulous."
Acknowledging the close age gap between the pair Angel admitted she hopes James views her as a friend, adding: "He’s really handsome, my nan had a massive crush on him!"
"Whenever we used to go over to my nan’s house – she lived in East London – she’d be like, 'How’s James?!'"
In the latest series of the show, viewers have seen Dick and Angel battle to get the chateau ready for its first wedding guests since the Covid pandemic.

Angel was left worried about the 'big year' ahead of them and felt as though the pair did not have enough time to get everything prepared again for it to be in tip-top shape.
In one scene, while walking with Dorothy and Arthur, Angel aired her thoughts and concerns to Dick about what was to come.
Angel said: "I'm afraid, babes that this is a big year for us, this is a year of celebration.
"We haven't got time to be doing this stuff, we have got to put our focus back on the house."
