COUNTRYFILE viewers were left stunned as a huge celebrity appeared on the show.
The BBC programme aired the Plant Britain initiative to encourage viewers to plant more trees.
The challenge set was to plant three quarters of a million trees across the UK from the Countryfile Wood in Cheshire.
But viewers were seriously distracted as a Beatles legend showed up in a black Adidas tracksuit.
Ringo Starr, aka Sir Richard Starkey, came on the show to encourage viewers to start planting.
He told the viewers at home: "Planting trees is not only good for the planet it is good for the soul.
