I’m a body language expert and spotted a secret snub to Matt Hancock by Ant and Dec after I’m A Celeb exit
ANT and Dec appeared to snub Matt Hancock by refusing to give him an easy ride during his exit interview, according to a body language expert.
The former health secretary, who came in third place, was desperate for the comedic duo to indulge in a bit of banter – but instead he got grilled.
Judi James explained: “Within moments, Matt was in full political mode, looking wary and full of bluster as he used verbal fillers as his eyes scanned about to prompt his brain to dig deep for some on-message responses.
“The way Matt’s eyes also flicked from Ant to Dec as he spoke suggested he was desperately looking for those cheeky smiles and jolly banter but getting next to nothing.”
She continued to the: “He tried to be funny, and he went for a fun eye expression but the only laugh from the other side of the table sounded rather mirthless as Dec asked ‘Do you understand those reactions?’ like a seasoned political interviewer.”
Following his departure, the MP spoke about his decision to take part in the reality show, saying: "I know that it was controversial me coming here, I know some people said people in your position shouldn't put themselves in embarrassing situations.
"But we're all human and we all put ourselves in it."
He added: "I just went in absolutely clear that I was going to be totally myself as if there cameras weren't on and that's what I did.
"And that is what I'm like in private!"
Matt was met by his partner and former aide Gina Coladangelo who leaked CCTV footage showed him kissing and breaking coronavirus social distancing rules last June, which led to his resignation as health secretary.
