Coronation Street and Emmerdale pulled off air tonight as soap schedule chaos continues
BOTH Coronation Street and Emmerdale have been AXED once again tonight in the latest in a series of soap shake ups.
The popular ITV programmes have been bumped from the schedules in the latest in a long-line of changes as a result of the 2022 World Cup.
ITV's coverage of tonight's football match has meant that the channel has been forced to pull the flagship shows.
In a bid to avoid causing disruption to the schedules, ITV bosses have released this week's episodes of the soaps for streaming early on ITVX.
It follows the same move bosses have pulled for the last two weeks in an attempt to allow fans at home to watch the soaps when they please and not miss out on their fix.
If you wish to watch on the traditional channel, fans will be forced to wait until Wednesday when the soaps broadcast hour-long editions each, with Emmerdale airing at 7pm and Coronation Street at 8pm.

Both programmes will follow this same pattern on Thursday.
On Friday, ITV is airing the next World Cup fixture on its schedule from 6pm until 9.15pm.
However, it is good news for EastEnders fans who will be able to watch the BBC One show as usual tonight at 7.30pm.
The BBC will be airing the soap in its regular timeslot amid heartbreak for the residents of Albert Square following Dot Cotton's passing.

Running from November 20 to December 18, the football fixtures will air on both ITV and the BBC - with soap schedules in chaos because of it.
Typically, ITV broadcasts the equivalent of six episodes per soap each week.
Emmerdale airs Monday-Friday at 7:30pm with Thursday's edition being an hour-long affair.
Coronation Street is broadcast as three 60 minute episodes a week, airing on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8pm.
Over the last two weeks both BBC iPlayer and ITVX have dropped that week's episodes of the soaps in advance of their usual TV airing times.
